Mission:
An Orion to Die For
Location: Docking Bay
Timeline: MD 2 || 1300 Hours
As the Zeus docked with the Triumphant, Vash tested the false restraints on her and nodded to the Cardassian posing as a human and the Romulan posing as a Vulcan. "They'll have us covered, but we'll have time before they're able to run scans on us. Act confused as survivors of an attack would." She eyed the bloodstained tunic on 'Jackson' and knew he hadn't been happy to have been selected to be wounded, but the act wouldn't be complete without real wounds. Several others had been hurt as well, but they were all capable of fighting even with them. When everyone acknowledged, she placed herself between Jackson and Straudak and waited for the doors to be opened.
The Marines, led by Gage were ready and he gave a nod to Command Weisz before he brought his own TR-116 rifle up to his shoulder and took aim at the docking port. "Ready," he said simply.
Commander Weisz kept her eyes on the door leading to the docking bay. She had no problems giving the order to shoot if the ship or its crew were threatened. Their safety was her utmost concern, and there wasn't much that would change that. Now or ever. What no one knew was she was also in possession of a phaser, but hoped it wouldn't need to be used. "Let's welcome our guests, shall we? Do not fire unless I give the order, but make sure to keep an eye on them. Should anyone pick up on something I miss, please, let me know."
Latham Briggs, the lead of the Security team, nodded to the Commander and hefted his phaser, feeling its comforting weight in his hand. "Acknowledged, ma'am." He cast a glance to his people, who acknowledgd his look with a slight nod, indicating their readiness. His eyes then came back to Weisz, and he nodded, indicating his team's readiness. For now, though, he remained beside the marine.
"Open it," Weisz ordered with her phaser at her side. She trusted her crew, but she didn't trust the people who were about to be welcomed onto the ship. Sadly for them, if they stepped out of line, she wouldn't hesitate to stun them.
Briggs glanced to one of his Security detail and gave a very slight nod. That man and the woman with him moved forward, taking up positions on either side of the hatch. Once in position, he keyed the hatch, and both readied their phasers as the hatch opened.
Jackson and Straudak came through, Jackson limping and holding one hand to a bloody wound on his right side and Straudak on the other side of Vash. "Who's in charge here?" Jackson asked. "We have a prisoner."
"For the time being, that will be me," the redheaded Commander said, looking to the man who just spoke. She didn't trust a single one of them, and that wasn't a secret. "Your injured will be escorted to sickbay, the rest of you will be escorted to the brig. A precaution. I'm sure you understand." Maddy gestured for two armed officers to move over to the injured individual, then gestured for the rest to shadow their other guests.
The Cardassian posing as Lieutenant Commander Jackson looked at the red haired woman as if she had lost her mind. "Excuse me? We just escaped from an attack and you're going to put us in the brig?"
"That's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm sure you can understand my position, and if you can't, then I'll tell you. The safety of my ship and crew are quite important to me. Your accommodations will be better than what they were, I'm sure," Maddy said, gesturing for her men to do their jobs.
Latham nodded toward one of his men, noting that said man was immediately joined by one of the Marines. Good. The Security man took a firm, supportive grip on the injured individual while the Marine with him kept a weapon aimed at him just in case this was a ruse and he was playing lame duck. These two escorted the man from the bay and toward SIckbay.
The other seven Security men and their accompanying Marines moved to surround the rest of their "guests" as they exited the small ship. It was very clear that the crew of the Triumphant was taking no chances. The weapons never wavered. Latham moved in behind his men and the Marines, covering the rear in case (a) one of their guarded "guests" decided to make a move or (b) they had held someone back in the ship, and that person decided to move against the rear of the group thinking it was undefended.
"With your permission, Commander." he addressed Commander Weisz, making sure she had finished with these people before his people and the Marines escorted them out of the bay and to the brig.
"By all means... let's show our guests where they'll be staying," Weisz said, gesturing for the the Security officers and Marines to lead the way with the others. She planned to pull up the rear with her phaser ready in the event she needed to shoot someone. Before they moved off, she pointed to two of the Marines. "You two stay here. Anyone comes through, stun them."
Latham nodded to his men, and they and their Marine counterparts moved their "guests" out. As they went, they maintained the surround pattern, weapons ready.
The Marines formed up outside of the group as Security began to get in position to take the group of Starfleet officers prisoner and Gage kept a close eye on the group and the Orion woman in particular.
Before anyone could do anything, the Orion woman let out a bloodcurdling shriek and tore free of Jackson and Straudak. She darted forward towards Maddy before one of the Marines intercepted her. "It's a trap!" she screamed. "They're pirates and slavers!"
Jackson and Straudak looked at each other and Vash in utter surprise, then went for their weapons as the others in the group did the same.
Always ready for action of any kind, Gage immediately brought his TR-116 up and put the barrel to the Orion woman's forehead. "Stop!" he ordered.
The other Marines, who already had their weapons up, unleashed a barrage of stun beams on the group that had suddenly turned hostile and within seconds, every last member of the group was on the floor.
The Orion woman looked at the Starfleet Commander even with the barrel of the powerful Marine weapon was pressed to her head. "I request immunity in exchange for information!"
"Immunity?" Maddy asked, cocking her head to the side as she turned her attention to the handcuffed prisoner. She turned her attention to two of the female guards. "Bring her directly to sickbay and make sure she's given a pheromone inhibitor, then see that she's escorted to interrogation room one. Wait there for me."
The two guards thus instructed moved in to take custody of the woman. They said nothing, merely moved her out and headed her to Sickbay. Both were exceedingly watchful. If she tried anything again, they'd stun her and carry her there and they reached Sickbay quickly enough.
Gage looked at Commander Weisz as Security led the Orion woman off and his men rounded up the stunned impersonators. "Want me to take the men and check the freighter, Commander?" he asked.
"Absolutely, Sergeant. Let me know if you find anything," the Commander replied before she followed the group.
Gage led a squad of Marines into the Zeus and methodically cleared and checked each room of the small freighter, but at the end of ten minutes, he and his men came back out once it was secured and tapped his combadge. =^=Aravan to the Bridge. The Zeus is all clear=^=
Martha stood on the bridge at her station. She was continually scanning for any enemy vessels that may have pursued the Zeus back to the Triumphant. For now however there was no sign of anything - but she knew that wouldn't be the case forever.
"Nothing on sensors...yet. I'll be ready" Martha commented.
=^=Acknowledged Michael as his brother's report came through his combadge and looked at Barnes. "Mister Barnes, lock onto the Zeus with a tractor beam as soon as the all clear is done. She's too big to dock and we can't leave her around her. Any word from the Victorious?"
"Aye, sir," Thomas replied, quickly entering a command into his console to have the tractor beam lock onto the Zeus. He wouldn't engage it until the all clear sounded. "No word from the Victorious yet," he added. "I don't think they're due to check in for a few more minutes. Do you want me to hail them?"
"No, Mister Barnes," Michael said. "They may be be compromised if we do. We'll have to wait."
Once the Zeus was tractored and all reports came in clear, the Triumphant once more set course for the Orion Sector.
