Timeline: MD 32 || 1017

Sickbay

Antonio was monitoring culture growth patterns for a project he'd been working on, most of the staff were using the quiet time to catch up on reports and records that needed attention. It was not often quiet times like this came around on a ship like this so the staff were well versed in making the most of what they got, when they got it. The cultures had been growing nicely showing very interesting spread patterns as each was exposed to different types of radiation, he recorded his findings as he'd need to submit the results to SFM when he was done.

The doors made a noise when they opened and every doctor knew it when they heard it, it was like a subtle alarm that someone had come in. Antonio was surprised to see an officer in gold come in, "Ensign, what brings you here?"

"Headache Doc, big, pounding and just wont go away." She spoke when she finally saw the Doctor appear into view.

"Take a seat, lets have a look and get you something." Antonio said as he grabbed a few things from a tray and lead her to a bed for scanning. "Ok, let me have a quick look."

She sat on the bed as directed, she should have done this earlier and she knew it.

"How long have you had the headache?"

"About an hour, maybe 2." She replied.

"Was the intensity gradual or quick?"

"Fairly quick, thought it would go away so ignored it for a bit."

"Ok, I'll give you something for it. Have you been under alot of stress recently?"

"I'm a Diagnostic systems tech Doc, stress is something we eat for breakfast and stupid enough go back for seconds." She answered with a smile.

"All of your readings are elevated, what's caused this Ensign?" Antonio asked looking over the readings and compared to them to the norms. They were much higher.

The Ensign explained thinking of what the contributing factors were to him, it was a small list but a list of checks and routine reports that just as one ended another had to start.

"This should help with the headache, should take effect in a moment." Antonio pressed a hypospray to her neck and activated it. "As for the rest the best suggestion would be to take it easy, get some rest. If you want speak to your team leader or section chief and arrange some time off, I'd suggest a few days."

"If only it was that simply Doc."

"If you would like I can speak to them for you?" He offered.

"No, it's fine Doc, I'll do it." Already feeling better from the meds given to her.

"Come see me again if the headache returns, I may have to do more scans to find the cause and don't wait, it wont go away like you hope it will."

"Thanks Doc." She said sliding off the edge of the bed.
