Mission:
Falling Star
Location: Subspace Sound
Timeline: MD 31 || 1600 Hours
Mirok was finally free to explore the promenade, and his first stop was the Subspace Sound. He had heard of it through the grapevine and decided to give it a try.
He slipped inside, heading up to the bar and taking a claim of a seat before anyone else could steal it.
A song with a rhythmic beat was playing when he entered and the lights flickered colors to go with the beat. A few dozen people were on the dance floor with another dozen at the bar where a woman with wavy/curly brunette hair slung drinks while wearing a neon green form fitting bodysuit that had red lights racing along her arms and legs.
Mirok smirked and snapped to attempt to wave her down.
A passing Bolian looked around when he heard a snap and saw the Vulcan...no, a Vulcan wouldn't snap. A Romulan? He had heard there was a Romulan on the ship, but didn't think they'd be rude enough to snap their fingers and expect service. "If you would like a drink, I suggest you go to the bar and order one like everyone else," he said.
Muttering about Bolians being annoying, Mirok did just that, sliding up to the bar and grabbing a seat in front of it.
The woman came down the bar to where the newcomer was and gave him a nod. "Welcome to Subspace Sound," she called over the music. "What can I get for you?"
Mirok smirked, "you got the Ale?"
"There's twenty-one planets that have a drink with the word ale in it," Ailyssa replied. "Can you be more specific?"
Mirok blinked at her, wondering if she was serious. "Romulan."
The woman laughed and had to brace her hands on the bar before she stopped. "No."
"I was serious, just so you know." Mirok said with a straight face. "Jack Daniels. No Ice, mint sprig on the side. You put ice or the mint in it and I throw it at you."
"First, Romulan Ale is harder to get than a honest Ferengi," Ailyssa said. "Second, I don't serve drinks with vegetables unless it's a Bloody Mary. Third, throw it at me and you'll find yourself in the brig. This is my business and I have a boyfriend in Security."
She grabbed a bottle from under the counter and poured a shot in a glass, then went to the replicator behind the bar. "One mint sprig," she requested. When it materialized, she put it in a small tray and handed it and the drink to the man. "There you go. One Jack, dry, and a mint sprig."
Mirok took it, smirking, "You're talking to the assistant chief of Security and Tactical, lady." He said, folding the mint up and crushing it in his hand, before dropping it into the drink. "That, and I ain't scared of nobody."
"Then you should know better than to threaten to throw a drink at people," she returned. "You should be setting an example, not asking for illegal alcohol."
"Where I'm from its not illegal." Mirok said simply, taking a drink from the whiskey.
"Where you're from doesn't exist any more," Ailyssa said, then winced. "I apologize for that remark. Would you like your drink on the house?"
Mirok glared at her, muttering something about a lack of respect before lobbing the drink at the wall behind Ailyssa and standing up.
She glanced at the unbroken glass and back at the man. "I apologized. There was no reason to do that."
"News flash for you. We don't take kindly to insults like that." Mirok said before storming out of the place, muttering about rude people.
"We?" Ailyssa called out after him. "All I see if you asking for something illegal which is also very hard to get. If you want to fit in, be like everyone else."
"Being like everyone else is a drag." Mirok said as he left.
