Mission:
Strange Matter
Location: Lieutenant Cusack's Office
Timeline: Mission Day 28
Mirok sighed, his meeting with the Commodore havign not gone very well. His next stop was to report in to his DH, which is where he was currently, waiting outside her office to be invited in after pressing the chime.
Martha was just about to get started with her work - until she heard the chime echo around her office. Deciding to remain sat down she called to allow her guest to enter - hoping it was the new deputy head for the Tactical and Security departments.
"Come in!" Martha called.
Mirok crossed the threshold, coming to attention just inside the door. "Lieutenant Mirok, Deputy chief of security and tactical."
Martha watched the Vulcan come in to the room - pleased it was the visitor that she was hoping for. A deputy had been required since Lieutenant Lischka's transfer to the Command department as a Mission Advisor. Mirok's arrival made things easier for both herself and Lieutenant Mallory in Security.
"At ease. Please - take a seat" Martha responded.
Mirok took the offered seat, instantly formulating excuses in his head for anything she might bring up from his file.
"So...Mr Mirok. What ship were you last on before you came here?" Martha asked.
"Up to this point, I've spent most of my career in a starbase." Mirok said, "boring stuff, honestly."
"Starbases have their advantages. Have you read the report on our new protocol regarding starship security? I suggest you read through it thoroughly and familiarise yourself with it before we assign you to a duty shift" Martha replied.
"I've already read through it. There's many familiar protocols."
Martha nodded. "You are eager Lieutenant. I also suggest you catch up with Lieutenant Mallory who is in charge of Security here. It's not entirely uncommon but here we have separate Tactical and Security departments although we share a deputy. Do you have any particular preference to for a particular shift assignment?"
"I've done them all, I'm available for any shift and willing to do anything."
"Very well. For the time being I think Security might be a prudent assignment although I will discuss it with Lieutenant Mallory to see what he thinks. Is there anything you want to ask me before you get started?" Martha responded.
"I think that about covers it."
Reaching for her computer and turning it back on again she began to look through her schedule for the day.
Martha nodded. "Very well. You are dismissed Lieutenant"
