Kasia thought back to the first time she'd seen him in his office aboard the ship. It wasn't all that long ago, and was still etched in her mind. "I was relieved to see you were out of that cage and away from those who were hurting you. I thought you cleaned up incredibly well... that you were quite handsome," she replied with a smile, though it was replaced with a look of concern. "Have you made an appointment to speak with a counselor about what happened?"
"No, we.....find it difficult to open up to strangers." S'er'in'e replied still holding her. It was not that he was having trouble coping, he'd wrapped what happened in his murder rage of the Orion guard. "I know I should however." Part of him didn't want to do it alone, part of him didn't want to open up about what happened to his team. Some memories are best left buried.
"Well... should you choose to go, I will go with you if you'd like me to," she said softly, running her fingertips over the back of his neck. "After I was caught in that explosion and recovered, I had to speak with a counselor before I could be cleared for duty again. It wasn't easy for the same reservations you have, but if I wanted to be cleared again, I had to do it. I was surprised at how much it helped me. You might be surprised, too."
"I do not want what happened to me to effect the image you now have of me. We do terrible things to survive, things I am not proud of." S'er'in'e tried not to think about those times but it was too late. He already was and his grip on her tightened as a result.
Kasia still showed no fear. Instead, she rubbed the back of his head. "We've all done terrible things. Even I have," she said softly, giving him a gentle and reassuring squeeze. "You really should talk to someone, S'er'in'e. It might help."
"As you wish." S'er'in'e replied as he relaxed his grip on her. She was probably right, even if he didn't want to admit it. His tail coiled higher up he leg to just below her knee.
She smiled and kissed him again. "How about we order something for dinner from The Black Hole?" Kasia asked, leaning back only a hair so she could look at him properly. "We can make dinner together tomorrow, but I'm enjoying this so much right now that I don't want to move for long."
"Will they deliver it?" S'er'in'e asked, giving her the alternative so that she may then stay where she is.
"They do deliver," she answered with a grin. "So, we'd only have to get up to order it and answer the door when it got here."
"Then lets order." He hand snow resting on the her waist just above where her panty line would be. It was reassuring that she didn't fear him even after what she saw him do, she was here showing an interest in him, trying now things with him from sitting in his lap to kiss. "Is there other positions, seated or otherwise that Humans considering private or romantic?" It was not that she was heavy or uncomfortable, but in an effort to learn one had to ask questions and test the waters.
"I'll show you one after we order dinner. What do you feel like? They have everything," Kasia said.
"Fish is best, anything different and I have trouble chewing it as I do not have molar teeth to chew foods, just cut." S'er'in'e replied. "But please, do not let that limit what you want, order what you like." His hands still holding her, his tail still about her ankle.
She grinned and kissed him. "I can't order anything if I can't get to the terminal to do so."
S'er'in'e smiled, more kissed followed, even daring ones as she had done and shown him before but she was right, can't eat if she can't reach the console. "As you wish." He unwrapped his tail from her leg and let her go from his hands.
Kasia stole another kiss before she climbed from his lap and made her way to the terminal. After settling down in front of it, she pulled up The Black Hole and went straight to the order screen. For herself, she ordered a steak mid-rare with fries, coleslaw and a side of sautéed shrimp before looking back to him. "Do you want steak or anything else?"
"Steak, medium rare but cut up if possible. Makes it easier for me to eat." He stood from the sofa and walked to her side and looked at the display and menu.
"Done," she said, adding that to their order as well before pressing the order button. "It'll be here in about half an hour. Then we'll be able to eat. Now... go lay on the couch on your side facing me."
Playfully S'er'in'e ducked down to the feline he was, darted to the sofa and layed on his side as she had directed. "Like this?" He asked wondering if this was what she meant.
"Yes," Kasia answered moving over to the couch with him. She sat down at first, then shifted around so she was stretched out against him with her back against his chest. "This one is quite comfortable for both individuals."
His tail coiled about her lower leg as she settled against him, his arm resting on her side because he knew nothing else. Sides and back were all he'd done so far so the front was new territory. "Comfortable?" He asked though considering the sofa, she probably was.
"I am quite comfortable," she replied, taking his large hand to move his arm so it would be draped over her. "How about you?"
"This is new for me, I am comfortable...just new." He hoped his large side was not uncomfortable for her, even if she was being nice to humour him. His arm draped over her pulled her to him, his hand on the flat of her stomach. From where he was he could see that his claws had snagged her dress in a few places, he'd have to fix that. "It appears my claws have caught on your dress....I apologise. I hope it is not ruined."
Kasia raised her head to look at what he was talking about and smiled as she shook her head. "It's okay, really. I can get a new dress easily enough, so don't worry about it for another moment," she commented as she rolled onto her back just so she could look at him. "You don't have to apologize to me."
"You are still female, I am required to." He replied as he laid against her though gently, he was far larger and substantially heavier than her. "If it bothers you I will try and stop."
"It doesn't bother me, S'er'in'e. I just want you to be relaxed and not feel as though you have to apologize to me for anything that might happen," she stated softly. "I know of your customs, but we're equals. I want us to be equals."
"Im..." He paused. "This is all new to me, I'm trying to make you happy by following the examples you have given me. You have said I can touch you but I do not know fully where, I want to touch but I am not sure what is appropriate, where is customary, what is acceptable? what is intimate, what is not." It was obvious he was trying, but obvious to he was struggling. "I need your help."
Realization dawned on her. He'd already stated he required being taught, but Kasia hadn't started that yet. "Some women, not all, like to be held like we're doing now. This can lead to intimacy or not. That all depends on how things progress over time," she began before proceedings to give him a run down of which place on her body were considered intimate and which were not.
He heard every word and etched it to memory. "When you ask me to touch you, how do I know how to touch you, intimately or otherwise?" He asked as his hand rested on her side, nervously.
Kasia smiled. "You'll know. Trust your instincts. You may not have encountered many women, but your instincts are still there."
S'er'in'e nodded trusting her advice, draping his arm over her body and his hand resting just under her bust. However his nose lay close to her neck, she knew why, she said she was fine with it so to aid that, he did what he needed to.
Tilting her head to the side, she decided to give him better access to her neck. Her eyes drifted closed as she relaxed farther into the couch and against him. "This really nice," she said softly. "I can definitely get used to having many moments like this in the future."
He smiled, not that she would see it. "Try not to get too comfortable, dinner will be here soon." As dire as the thought of moving from this moment was.
"It won't be much longer," the Russian woman spoke softly, running her fingers through the fur on his arm. "As for being too comfortable, it's too late for that. I'm very comfortable, and I don't think I want to move. We could always have them bring the food inside and put it on the coffee table. That will save us from having to go too far."
"If you wish." He held onto her. His tongue snaked out and licked her neck just once, just briefly. His hold firm but caring as his tail draped over her thighs. "Then we can have them do that."
Another shiver crept up on her as a smile graced her lips. If she kept it up, her cheeks would end up hurting, but it would be worth it. "How are you liking the ship so far?" Kasia asked, leaving any other thoughts to herself. Anything had to be better then the cramped cell he was kept in for the last six months of his life. Being such a large man and having nowhere to stretch out... that had to be a little piece of hell all on its own.
"Far larger then what I am used to." S'er'in'e spoke thinking about it. "Largest I have been on is a Galaxy Class but that was transit from one posting to assignment." He spoke. "The crew for the most part have been friendly but I think for many it is the first time they have seen someone like myself up close."
"It's possible," she said as the chime rang.
S'er'in'e rose from the chair in doing so he crawled over Kasia without leaning on or pressing against her, it did however demonstrate his sheer size and width of chest as he crossed above her, leapt down to the floor like a feline before standing upright and going to the door. He collected the small container, small by his standards at least and placed it on the table once the doors closed. "Would you like to eat it laying there?"
He brought the container to the sofa and sat on the floor letting her lay where he left her.
"I'll join you down there," Kasia stated as she slipped to the floor. The food already smelled amazing, and the containers weren't even opened yet. She took the top one and opened it to reveal a broiled fish with herbs and lemon. "This looks really good, and is yours."
S'er'in'e smiled. "Would you like some cutlery and eat from the containers or plates to put it on too?" He offered so that the choices were available to her to choose from.
"Cutlery would be nice, but I don't mind eating from the containers," she said, opening the second to reveal his stead, which meant the last one was hers. "Your steak has been cut into small bits already, too."
S'er'in'e rose and grabbed cutlery. "Would you like to feel something?" He asked as he stood beside her, cutlery in hand. "Gather your hair and hold it back.
Kasia looked up and back at him, then did as she was instructed, taking her hair into her hands and moving it out of the way. She wasn't entirely sure what she was going to be feeling, bit imagined she would be finding out soon. "What are you up to?"
S'er'in'e stood beside her and slowly coiled his tail a few times around her slender neck very gently. "I am told by a reliable source that my fur is quiet soft."
"Well, whoever told you that was right," she said unable to keep from running her fingers through the fur on his tail. "It is incredibly soft... like silk."
Smiling S'er'in'e removed his tail and sat with her. He replicated cutlery suited to her sizes. "Im smells wonderful." The cut up steak would help him to enjoy the meal without any delays or awkward moments. "Oh...may I offer a drink?"
"They have the best food in space as far as I'm concerned," Kasia said with a smile as she took her knife and fork into her hands. "Water will be good."
S'er'in'e gathered a pitcher of water and two glasses, it was obvious which glass was his own as he poured both. He then began to eat which thanks to the cut up meat he found it very easy to manage. It was a good thing napkins were provided, they were needed. "Are you able to tell me more about yourself , outside of your service, pastimes, hobbies, interests, and particular dislikes that you feel I should be aware of?"
"One thing you should know... I tend to push myself a lot harder than I should," she replied, taking a sip of her water. "It's something I've done since I joined the Marines. I've tried to be mindful of it, but it's a hard habit to break."
"Is this because of your earlier mentioning that being a female you felt you had to push yourself to be accepted by males in a mostly male dominated profession?" S'er'in'e asked after wiping his mouth from eating. He knew about pushing ones self. He'd done it before and splinter fractured several bones in his arms and legs, which for a Caitian could have been serious trouble if they didn't heal properly.
"A bit, yes, but a lot of it stems from not knowing when to stop," Kasia answered, taking a bite of her steak. She chewed and swallowed before speaking again. "I'm kind of a 'what you see, is what you get' kind of woman. I won't be anyone but me."
"I understand that I am not your......" S'er'in'e had to think and visibly did so a little on how to phrase it. "Partner type." Hoping he was getting it right. "I know most Humans will side with a Human partner, it is understandable. Are you not worried about the impression you being seen with me will generate from others or complexities of dating each other given our obvious differences?"
"Why would I be worried? I'm not the type that really cares what anyone else thinks," she said. "I used to be when I was younger, but that's changed over the years. Now... I just don't care. The opinions of others just don't matter."
"I see." S'er'in'e didn't want to cause any additional troubles because because what he was when compared to hers. S'er'in'e continued to eat while he thought. He was honoured that interest in him was shown, he hoped that in time she would learn more of his ways and the importance, at least for him, his culture and province of claiming him. "How do you feel the parents would take to myself?" It would be rare no doubt that he'd actually see them, but with subspace communications he was a too big to hide from others.
"As long as I'm happy, they'll be happy for me," Kasia replied with a smile before she took a sip of her water.
S'er'in'e was relieved to hear that. He knew all too well that 'aliens' were always an uneasy concept for some and worse so when a loved one was involved. If her parents only thought of her happiness and not what he was then he was safe. At least until he met them.
He finished his meals, small as they were by his norm comparison and recycled what was left. "Would you like another drink?"
Kasia smiled and finished eating, then leaned back against the couch. She'd just eaten so much, she felt as though she was going to explode. "Maybe in a little while. Right now, I'd rather cuddle up to you and relax for a while. If that's okay?"
"Of course it is." S'er'in'e spoke softly, his feline inflevtions surfacing once again, his lips moving out of sync with the words. He cleaned up the few things left and then sat down next to her and leaned with one arm on the sofa, inviting her within his embrace.
Kasia leaned against him and made herself comfortable as her eye drifted closed. He was quite warm, and this was something she could definitely get used to. "If I'm not careful, I'll definitely fall asleep."
"Then may I offer the sofa. Falling asleep on the floor might prove uncomfortable. You can continue to lean on me should you wish it." His ways and culture kicking in again by putting her comfort and wants as his priority.
"Your sofa is actually quite comfortable, so I'm okay with settling down back on it. You first, then I'll follow," she said as she rose to her feet, giving a stretch. The evening had proven to be so much better than she could have imagined, and things would only get better as time progressed.
Rising to a stand S'er'in'e then moved to the sofa. Crawled upon it and laid down upon its very comfortable surface. He positioned himself in a way that should effect comfort and closeness. "Im am ready!"
Kasia settled onto the couch next to him and snuggled against him with a smile. "If I fall asleep, don't hesitate to wake me up and send me on my way," she said softly in her Russian accented voice.
