A Large Evaluation

Mission:
An Orion to Die For
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: MD 4 || 1600 Hours
S'er'in'e had been escorted under guard to Sickbay, his injuries sustained in the brief fight needed treating. Shamefully he knew he was not looking his best and he no doubt smelled just as bad as anyone else seeking medical aid following escape from that hell hole. He saw security stand off to one side but observant of him, expected he thought as he patiently waited for someone to see him. He wondered if rumour would spread about what he did, wondered what people would think if they heard.
Would they judge him nothing more than a feral beast, a monster to be put down, a risk to the ship and crew?
A young male human medic approached when he saw the Marines coming in with a rather large, grubby looked male Caitian who looked like he'd be rubbed the wrong way for the last time. "Bring him over here," he said and gestured towards the nearest biobed. "Computer, increase support to biobed fourteen," he said as he looked around for one of the Doctors.
Kasia nodded to the Marines who escorted the large Caitian over to the reinforced bio bed, following closely behind them. She looked to the young medic, knowing sickbay had been seeing to those who had been kept against their will. "This is Lieutenant Colonel S'er'in'e. He was one of the rescued prisoners and requires treatment. He was there quite a bit longer than the rest."
The medic gave a nod as he reached for a tricorder and began to run it over the large Caitian. "Do you have any needs that must be met before we begin, Lieutenant Colonel?" he asked. "And sorry to be rude. I'm Ensign Javala."
S'er'in'e was nursing his chest from the injury he took. "I sustained an injury to my chest in an....altercation." S'er'in'e used a choice word. Better than murder and even though he was still covered in the Orions blood. "I believe a rib or two is broken." Which for someone of his size and build, was a dangerous injury given it risked damage to his lungs.
"We'll take care of that in just a minute," the Ensign said as he finished the tricorder scans. "You're deficient in a lot of vitamins and minerals, as well as proteins." He called for a nurse to prepare several hyposprays as he activated the biobed and watched it cover the huge matted Caitian. It began a regenerative scan of his ribs before it began to knit the bone together.
A nurse came over with a tray of hyposprays and Javala took one and adjusted the setting on it to compensate for S'er'ine'e's weight and started to inject it to his neck before he saw the collar. "Who put this collar on you?" he asked, not knowing Caitian customs. "No worries, we can get it off easily."
"No," Kasia said, shaking her head. "That stays." After all, she did nearly make the mistake of almost removing it herself.
"That one is my own, it comes off only when I have found a Mate. Not before." S'er'in'e added as he waited patiently
"So be it," Javala said. "However, I do hope that you'll remove it to bathe your fur. It's beautiful, but I'd imagine it would be more so without the blood on it." He moved the hypospray to press it to S'er'in'e's shoulder instead, then reached for the next one. A few moments later, he had injected the other two hypo's in the Caitian and stepped back.
"Now to get you in the Medical database and up to date," he said. "Is there something else you require?"
"Nothing, but the opportunity to clean and eat." S'er'in'e answered keen to do both. "I'd like authorisation to replicate a cleaning kit for my claws, fangs and fur."
"we can get that for you," Javala said with a smile. "Although we do have a dental department on the ship. As for the rest, I would suggest The White Lotus for a good clip and clean, and The Black Hole for a superb meal." He motioned to the nurse to go get the cleaning kit for Caitian claws.
"Thank you for the suggestions." S'er'in'e replied though his claws and fur he'd tend to himself as a matter of pride he knew he'd have to bite the bullet and get his teeth looked at and any damage repaired from the poor conditions.
Having discharged a patient of her own a few minutes earlier T'Lara made a route back to her office checking in with a few of the stuff on her way back. She couldn't help but stop by the Colonel's bio bed on her way past. She nodded a greeting to Javala, scooting around her to check some readouts on the bio bed.
"Welcome aboard, Colonel" she said after a few moments, looking up and fixing her large blue eyes on S'er'in'e.
"Doctor." S'er'in'e greeted with a small bow of the head, something all females could grow accustomed to with his presence on board.
"T'Lara, Chief Medical Officer. If you or any of the other rescuees require anything we have two hundred medical staff on board, there will always be someone available to see you." She assured him. Doctor T'Lara while rather quirky and efficient came over extremely warmly for a Vulcan, an attribute emphasised by the corners of her mouth which were naturally slightly curved up, giving the appearance of cheerfulness.
"Thank you Doctor." S'er'in'e answered as he let the Doctors do what they needed, scan what they needed and run any tests they were required to do.
Ensign Javala returned a moment later with a medium sized case and offered it to the Marine. "This should have anything you require for your claws , Colonel," he said. "It was gathering a bit of dust since it's rare we get a request for it, but everything is up to date."
With a sideways glance at Javala T'Lara collared a passing medical orderly.
"Add an inspection and refresh of all specialist medical supplies currently in both sick bays pertaining to caitians to the medical orderly task list" she told him. "To be completed by the end of the current shift. Make sure the task is delegated properly in both locations."
"Yes Doctor" was the rapid response and he moved away with a look of determination to act immediately on these new orders.
T'Lara turned back to S'er'in'e.
"I will leave you in the very capable hands of Doctor Javala, Colonel" she announced with an approving nod to the Ensign. A pleasant day to you both."
In a flurry of blue lab coat T'Lara resumed her course across sick bay towards her office.
S'er'in'e nodded and then opened the kit, to his surprise there was everything needed, sharpening stones, polishing rocks, files and trimmers. Various brushes and lotions, . There were no caste markings, no underlying scent. Brand new or replicated. Not that it mattered it would serve its purpose. Unfortunately it would mean a trip to the ships dentist to repair his fangs as no doubt 6 months of poor hygiene meant problems.
Doctor Javala turned his attention back to the huge Caitian. "Is there anything else?" he asked as he updated the Medical database and requested information from the Starfleet Marine liaison.
"Nothing for now Doctor, thank you." S'er'in'e replied holding the kit with his hands eager to clean up and groom.
