| Physical Description | Short and stocky was the order of the day when it comes to Zander Devereaux. The Engineer's hair barely ever meets Starfleet regulations and the goatee and mustache that adorns his face definitely doesn't seem regulation at all. His brown eyes are either sparkling with mirth or a far away look as if he gazes upon distant shorts. At 5'5", he seems a bit overweight but anyone who has seen him with his shirt off can see that he has made some effort to keep any love handles off of his physique. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Zander has a bawdy personality, but when it comes time to push a few nasties down the drain, he isn't afraid to get down and dirty. He has a love of life and engineering that borders on obsessive and he is often heard singing dirty lyrics to himself or anyone who will listen or happens to be in earshot. While he has made some effort to clean up his language, he will still slip when he is feeling aggravated and then the inner sailor comes out. He is rarely apologetic, but more than willing to accept whatever comes his way in the way of punishment, not that he goes out of his way to get in trouble. It just seems to find him and he deals with it as it comes. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Zander's main weakness is coffee and always will be. He will defend his cup to the bitter dregs and deny that he has an addiction. He draws strength from spending countless hours in the bowels of the ship working on what he does best, controlling damage to any space-faring beauty that he finds himself on. There are times when he relates more to the engines of a ship than to the people on board it. |

| Ambitions | Zander's only ambition is to be allowed to continue working on the massive engines as long as Starfleet will let him. He has no care for rank or the politics that goes with them and if he feels that he is in danger of promotion, he will do everything in his power to make sure that he doesn't get it. | |
| Hobbies & Interests | He loves making up dirty lyrics that border on the offensive and spends many hours in the holodecks creating sea-faring adventures where he can release his inner pirate. |
| Personal History | Zander grew up on Earth with his parents and spent very little time in any one state or country. His Uncle Tom was the one who got him into his love of engines and by the age of 15, Zander knew that that was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He spent countless hours reading engine manuals, tearing engines apart and putting them back together, but soon conventional engines became mundane to him. Seeing vids of the massive space-bearing starships, Zander set his sights on them. Joining Starfleet Academy after three attempts, Zander immediately joined the Engineering Corps and never looked back. While he has trouble relating to others from time to time, he has never, ever had any trouble relating to an engine. They could be taken apart and put back together. Humans and other species weren't so easy. |

| Service Record | Zander has served on a number of starships and bases, and has been promoted three times in his career. Each time, he has managed to get demoted and is content to stay a Lieutenant JG. At times, he feels that that is too high of a rank for him and he has often debated ways of getting himself demoted even further.
